Building a high availability smart utility pole network with Samsung ARTIK.
This exclusive, hands-on workshop will cover IoT from module to cloud with
ARTIK as the centerpiece, using tools including the ARTIK SDK, ARTIK Cloud
and Node-RED. You will also be able to work with the compact KITRA host
board for the ARTIK module.
We will start with IoT basics, and use Samsung ARTIK to power up your own
smart utility pole. We will monitor sensors on a dashboard, display
aggregated data on a map, also let the utility poles in your network
communicate with each other by using M2M. In addition, we will
build a ZigBee network by using ARTIK SDK, and integrate ARTIK Cloud.
The workshop is designed for an intermediate level audience, so you do have
to be a developer to get in! We promise that it will be an incredible
experience.

Dan leads Ecosystem Developer Support for Samsung’s new IoT platform, ARTIK. He has been a professional software developer for over 20 years, most of the time spent in Silicon Valley. His passions are the pursuit of frictionless developer tools and solving real business issues. Prior to joining Samsung, he has helped companies such as: Sun Microsystems, Oracle, HP, and TRX Training. Dan lives in San Francisco.
